Below is an e-mail received by alumni Chip Howard from David Crews, our wounded brother in Iraq.
Quoting David Crews:
Brothers: Sorry it has taken me so long to send you guys a letter of thanks for the support and concern. I really appreciate everything and it is a moral booster to see that people back home are showing their support. I have received multiple e-mails from alumni checking in on me and I am astonished and very thankful for the tremendous warmth I have gotten from fellow brothers, most of which I have never met. It was pretty awesome to get e-mails from former and current alumni in the service which meant a whole lot. My pledge brothers, especially, have given me the most support out of anyone and i can't thank those guys enough but i am trying to. I should be 100% and back in the fight in no time. I am almost completely healed up with the exception of bruises and soreness. I will be heading back to the states in about a week for my 2 week R&R and then i will head back here to Iraq. I plan on visiting Statesboro and the chapter while I am there and I am pretty excited about it. I just wanted to send a letter of thanks and let you all know that I really appreciate the support and kind words from other alumni. Take care and best wishes to you and your families. A.E.K.D.B.
